About

Scott R. Dallas - Attorney At Law

Scott Dallas, principal attorney at the Law Office, founded the firm with a vision to offer accessible and affordable legal services to individuals, entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Before opening his own practice, Mr. Dallas worked in a wide array of practice environments: several national firms, a mid-size regional firm, a boutique firm specializing in intellectual property, in-house counsel, a solo practitioner, and a public assistance non-profit.  Mr. Dallas began his licensed legal career as a staff attorney at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver and Hedges working on patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and securities litigation matters.  More recently, he worked as a contract attorney at Hopkins Carley in San Jose, where he worked closely with associates and partners in the litigation department on trade secret, real estate, and employment matters.

Mr. Dallas obtained his Juris Doctorate from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  While in law school, Scott was a Managing Editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review and a co-founder and Submissions Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal. He received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in philosophy from San Francisco State University.  Before law school, he worked as a general assignment reporter for the San Mateo County Times and as an online editor at Knight-Ridder.  He is admitted to practice in California.  Mr. Dallas is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

A fifth-generation Bay Area native, Mr. Dallas lives in Alameda with his wife, children, dog, and cats. Whenever he can, Scott enjoys spending time with his friends and family, fishing, hiking, trying new restaurants, travel and is an enthusiastic devotee of horror cinema and fiction, particularly those involving zombies.
